Like our parent organization, ICBA Bancard, TCM Bank is committed to Main Street America. We base our operations in the U.S., including our Customer Contact Center which opened in 2011. The Center's approach is modeled on the close, personal service community banks provide their customers. Representatives are on hand and ready to help 24/7, 365 days a year.
Founded to support community banking
Many community banks have been interested in offering credit cards, but some did not have the resources to succeed as direct issuers. Others needed expertise to maximize their credit card business and portfolio development. After consulting with community bank leaders, ICBA Bancard responded by founding TCM Bank, N.A. TCM provides an agent program for banks that choose not to be direct issuers themselves since 1998.
Unlike many other credit card issuers, TCM Bank believes the cardholders we serve are first and foremost our agent banks’ customers. We do not cross-sell services from competing financial institutions. Our priority is making sure our agents’ customers receive the personal, hands-on attention they want and deserve.
How we provide value to agent banks
Through our Total Card Management® program, we help community banks promote their branded cards while limiting their exposure to risk and expense. Both the consumer and small business credit card programs are supported by a dedicated client services team, staff trainings, staff promotions and branch marketing materials.
With community banks’ risk tolerance and market position in mind, TCM Bank can also provide an objective assessment of their credit card portfolio with recommendations to improve bankers’ bottom line. And we are the largest purchaser of credit card portfolios in the industry dedicated exclusively to supporting community banks.
